Wow, I have always found that what I see in Page Layout is what I get, unless I have set the paper size differently in the several different places.
We have discussed this before in earlier versions and I can't remember the exact locations for the different paper size settings, but I believe it is in the Print dialoge and in the page layout dialogue. But I think your problem is that there are more than one place to set the paper size and you need to have them all agree. You may have your Page Layout set for A4 but perhaps the Printer dialogue is working on 8.5x11 size paper.
