I got the Pivot software to work on my 1920x1200 monitor. It required a ResEdit hack of the driver. I'll be interested to see what the Portrait tech support tells me. I still have a problem in that the 1920x1200 monitor only works if the other monitor is not attached to the video card. :-(
But I *was* able to run a quick test with Finale. It is FANTASTIC. The LCD monitor is so clean that I can easily read and edit at 75% (scroll) view, and in portrait mode, I can see an entire orchestra score at this size without scrolling, with room to spare for divisis. If I eliminate some of the bizarro staves, like 3 saxophones and alto flute, I might be able to get it up near 100%. But on an LCD, 75% is quite tolerable. (This from a guy who could not work at less than 150%--preferably 200%--on a CRT.) The Finale window expands to the entire 1200x1920 screen so no problem there. BTW: I was reading thru some earlier email I got from Portrait tech support. They had a big disclaimer about Powerbooks. If Matthew Hindson is thinking about using it with a Powerbook, he should probably contact their tech support first. -- Robert Patterson http://RobertGPatterson.com _______________________________________________ Finale mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.shsu.edu/mailman/listinfo/finale
