Hi all!
Well, I now am the proud owner of FinMac 2001a. I bought it off eBay. I
would have gotten the newest version, but my mac is no spring chicken and
it can't really run anything older than 2001. Problem is that I always get
an error message about a file called InterfaceLib--BlockZero. Now, thanks
to the collective wisdom of the Finale list, I have found that I need to
upgrade to at least Finale 2001c to get it to work right. Now, my problem
is this: I can't download the darn upgrade 'cause the software is
registered in the name of the old owner (and YES, I know that the
registration is only good for the original owner and that it says so in the
user agreement and such. Coda did a nice job of pointing this out to me
this morning.) So I'm sitting here stuck with a version of Finale that I've
paid a fair bit for and that I can't even run.
Does anyone out there have the Mac update downloaded that they could
possibly send me? I'd need it either on disk or on a Mac-formatted CD. My
macintosh has no internet connection at the moment. I'm living in
Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada, and I'd be ever so grateful if anyone could
help me.
Yours,
Taris
