This is an old trick, and some folks have been doing it for a long time.  I
think Hal Owen first recommended it to me.  It is VERY easy to do.  When you
click on "shape" in the text expressions dialog, then click on the buttons
to create a shape, you enter the shape designer.  You can mix fonts easily,
move things around easily.  In fact, tempo markings with mixed fonts are
very easy to create here -- and you can still assign a MIDI meaning to them
as well.  

It does seem silly and counterintuitive, when mixing fonts, to have to
create a text-only expression in the shape designer.  But, for now, this is
a very easy work-around.
