Hi Marcello

I've *just* started staff styles in Finale 2002 for just this - it is
absolutely fabulous!!

Create your reed parts in C on the score. Then, with the staff tool
selected, select the region you need as clarinet. From the Staff Styles
menu, select Bb Clarinet Transposition. Bingo!! Simple as that!!
(Assuming you used the Coda default file, which has those staff styles
already defined - in which case, you have transposition for Flute, Bb
Clarinet, Eb Alto Saxophone and Bb Tenor Saxophone immediately to hand!
Best of all, they are pre-meta-tooled as 1, 2, 3 and 4 respectively, so all
you need to do is select the region with the staff tool and then press 2
(for Clarinet) or 3 (for Alto Sax) etc).

I'm arranging some show music and the two reeds need to cover flute, sop
sax, alto sax, tenor sax, baritone sax and bass clarinet between them, so
have defined staff styles to suit those transpositions in my template
document, saved as a library, and imported them into any previously arranged
numbers in order to have consistency.

I've asked about multi-reed parts before, and struggled. I was told "use
staff styles", and having now finally started using them I cannot believe
how good they are - listen to me raving on about a feature available since
Finale 200!!

Good luck
