Benjamin,

You didn't mention whether you were on a PC or a Mac -- it makes a
difference. However, if you are on Windows, you would do it one of (at
least) two ways:

(1) Bring up the "Character Map" applet. On my computer, it's start |
programs | Accessories | System Tools | Character Map. Find the character
you want, double click on it, then select COPY. Go back to Finale, and then
select EDIT then PASTE in the lyrics window. This method is obviously real
cumbersome, but it works.

(2) In Finale, hold down the ALT key, then, on the numeric keypad (make
sure you have numlock enabled) press the following four keys while holding
down the ALT key: 0 2 3 3. Release the ALT key and you should see pop up.
The reason this works is that the numeric code for is 233. You can see
these codes from the char map applet by single clicking on the applet and
looking at the status bar (on my system, it shows up in the lower right
corner).

Hope this helps.
