Not sure what motherboard you are using, but this is how on ASRock G Pro using AMIBIOS version 3.31a:

Restart your machine.  At the Boot screen press the appropriate key to "SETUP" on my screen it was <F2>.  In the setup menu, I went into "Advanced" [at the top of the page], then to "Peripheral Configuration".  On this screen there is an "On Board Midi Port" option.  If it is disabled, enable it.  You might then get several IO settings to choose from.  Pick the first to start with.  IRQ should already be set to the default [5].  Exit and save [usually <F10>] to restart your machine.  If the IO conflicts, go back into setup and choose the next option.

Hope this works for you.

David,

Thank you.  Reconfigured the BIOS and the midi is now there.

Hi,

How do you do this? - I have been unable to use my midi keyboard input since changing to Windows XP

Thanks,

All the best,

Lawrence
