Mass Edit-> Convert Mirrors will un-mirror everything in the selection.
However, this will be final, so any changes you do to the original staff
will not be mirrored any more.

I actually find mirrors quite useful in 18th century orchestral music where
quite often certain parts have exactly the same notes. Take a Solo concerto,
where the solo violin has the same notes in the Tutti passages. With mirrors
I can save a lot of time this way. If there are any differences I simply
convert the mirrors to real notes and voila!

On thing I'd like to see possible with mirrors is cue notes. Currently this
doesn't really work.
