One way to possibly get back to normal would be to have her locate the finale preferences file via SYSTEM FOLDER/PREFERENCES on the startup drive. Removing that file and restarting Finale should return her to the normal state. If she had some custom settings she will have to redo them such as pallette layout/placement etc.
