Dear Darcy,

Thaks for the tip. I had the same trouble trying to print from MacFin 2k3a in System 10.2.4 to my HP 5MP. I tried to download the Adobe PS 8.8 driver from Adope's site, but their "store was closed." I was able to find it from a German site, and it works fine - and it's fun to see the German language version when I go to print.

Well, far be it from me to spoil your foreign language fun, but if you do eventually decide you want the English version of Adobe PS 8.8, you can download it here:

(A general tip -- it's almost always faster to go to Version Tracker for this sort of thing, rather than trying to navigate Adobe's labyrinthine web site.)

I neglected to say in my earlier post that my Wife is the one who found the information about MacFin running in Classic Mode on System 10.2.4, so she gets the thanks.

Thanks, Mrs. O!

A few observations: Running Finale in Classic in System X is slower than running it in System 9.2.

It is, but not by much -- at least, on my machine. My only real gripe is with QuicKeys sequences -- unfortunately, invoking one of those causes the Finale icon to give an "alert" bounce in the dock, and the switch from Classic to X to Classic again slows things down a bit. But since OS X is my main OS for everything else, I can deal with a minor slowdown (for the next few months) if it means I don't have to reboot.

Playback using OMS is quite good, but there are occasional small irregularities compared to playback in Sys. 9.

Yes, it is a pain, but -- thanks to OS X you can play back in the background! Makes it much easier to record MIDI playback that way.

BTW, the problem involving the measure number/page number field disappeared.

Great!
