I would like to purchase an HP LaserJet 1200
I recently purchased one, Paul, and was surprised to find it had NO power switch. When I complained to HP, they told me the printer was designed as a "pass-through", so it would always be on. No wonder HP as a company is in some difficulty now. Sounds like their logic board needs replacement.
Anyway, I find the 1200 to be a quiet printer with very nice music output. If you leave it on all the time, the electricity consumption will be very low and it will probably last longer.
