Hello Christopher,
I came across your message re: how to notate drum set parts and have a question. You mention editing the percussion map so centre line b is a stemless slash and Bb is a stemmed slash. How do you create a stemless slash when entering quarter notes?

In the Jazz Font (Mac keystrokes) opt - and opt shift - give the stemmed slash and stemless slash, though I don't know off the top of my head which is which. In my opinion these characters are better in the Jazz Font because they are identical in size and shape, unlike in the Engraver font, where the stemless slash is much longer and thinner than the stemmed slash.

I only do this so that I don't have to go to the Staff Tool, click on Select Partial Measures, then select one beat to apply the Slash Notation staff style, which is many more keystrokes.

You can find the character keystrokes for PC under the Help menu, Jazz Character Sets. They look identical, its only that one has a stem setting while the other doesn't, and you can't tell by looking at it.
