I think the original problem was printing from Classic...<<
Actually, I'm using Finale 2002b in the Classic Environment.
There are two separate problems, one from Patricia and one from Crystal.
Crystal's main problem is that Finale 2002 wasn't really intended for the type of Classic environment that she has. All Classic environments in those days would have been based on a MacOS 9.x.x install. What would be the best for her is a GhostView installation unless she's networked to her PC (in which case ESP GhostScript can be really useful).
The ESP link is at: <http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/unix_open_source/ espghostscript.html>
If you install that, I can put a small OS X application on my site which will do the ps->pdf thing.
For Patricia, I don't really know except to say that she hasn't really said that she can print from other applications so it's hard to tell if the problem is Finale specific or not. Besides which, I don't have that printer. I can say that my printer is an old serial port type PostScript one and I've solved all my problems by connecting it to my old 68K Centris with Ethernet and using LaserWriter Bridge software. Both my OS X Macs recognize it from Print Center and my total expenses were for an extra long RJ45 cable so I can keep it in another room (absolutely no noise).
