I would like to be able to find a quick and efficient way in Finale to reduce the size of what I call "alteration symbols" that indicate the raising and lowering of chord components such as the fifth, ninth, and eleventh. This would help eliminate the manual spacing of notes and measure widths that's required when a chord change happens on each melody note.
Unfortunetaly there are no quick way to change the 'alteration symbol' - you have to change each chord suffix one by one. But you can save your altered chord suffixes in a library and load them again. - Chord Definition dialog box>Suffix>Select>Click on one Suffix>Edit. Click on the Next button to move the handle to the alteration symbol>Set Font...now you can change the font and the size>Press Cmd and click OK (on Mac) to return directly to the score.
Kind regards
Ole Buck
