How can I put a tie end on the 1st note of a phrase. The tie begins on measure 228 and I want it to tie the 1st note of measure 213. 213 - 228 repeat and the last note of 228 is the last note of a 1st ending. 213 - 224 are marked 2nd time only. It won't work clicking on a note while holding down option.
I hope I have made this clear. I am using Finale Mac 2003a.

If the first note of 213 is not tied itself to the next note, then you can put a forwards tie on it and drag it backwards using the Special Tool.
Or you can use a Smart Shape slur, which looks an awful lot like a tie if you drag it to the proper contour.
