Hey gang,
A while back, I mentioned that I was working on a project where the client supplied me with Finale 3.0 files, and I needed to paste those scores into my existing Fin2002 template. Clip files (or just copy and insert) seemed to work well for that job. However, now I've encountered movements where there is no Finale file for the score, only the parts. Obviously, the problem with clip files (or copy/insert) is that there seems to be no way to add each part to the existing score -- instead, it adds new measures at the beginning, so none of the parts line up.
In this situation, am I better to forget about clip files etc and just copy-replace the parts into the new score? Of course, this loses all the stuff that copy-insert preserves, but I'm not sure that copy-insert or clip files will work in my situation.

I've had to do that before, and copy-paste works well enough after the first staff was done copy-insert. I had to check afterwards, and a couple of things went astray, but mostly everything was fine.
