On PC, FIN 2004: Upon opening a file created on MAC, I get a pop-up window
which reads:
"This file was created on a computer whose "MacSymbolFonts.txt" file
designated "Maestro" as a Symbol font. Would you like to make this change to
the "MacSymbolFonts.txt" file on your computer? If not, the font will be
marked as a Text font in this document."
What are the implications of this?
Though this is not a specific concern of mine, I took a look at my Component Files folder and found this file to contain a list of a good deal of common Mac symbol fonts.
This, for me, begs the same question (in whatever sense you'd like to take that idiom): What does WinFin2k4 do differently with "Symbol" fonts as opposed to "Text" fonts? For that matter, what is the difference on a Mac, other than placing the Symbol fonts at the bottom of the list?
