While thoroughly enjoying the repartee of the "nuclear" thread, I have a Finale question!
Is it possible to insert hairpins -(cresendo up or down) to "show on all staves" in a score. I know one is offered a choice in Expressions- i.e. "Show on all staves" or "this Stave only" -but is such a choice offered on appropriate smart shapes. I accept it could not always work on slurs for example- or trills. Whilst on words! A question for our wordsmiths. Whence cometh the word 'singlet' as in undervest? And - I know of a doublet- a medieval type of jacket- so we have garments called singlet and doublet, why? -and do we have a triplet? My hairpin question is more important!
