I notice that in Finale 2004, the placement of group brackets (such as the ones that go right across all the winds, and then all the brass, etc.) has been altered so that the brackets sit actually on top of the left line, rather than slightly (about 1 space) to the left of it. Is this indicative of current music notation practice? I thought most publishers still pushed it over a bit. Looks odd to me the way it is.
