Hello,
I've only recently upgraded to 2003. I was incredibly happy with 2000- but finally decided to go for the upgrade, mostly for the slurs. (2004 looks like it will be OS X only, so I'm not going _there_ anytime soon.)
Well, no. It is going to run in OS 9 as well..........
Anyway, I've noticed that when using speedy entry- auto-spacing doesn't work like I expected it to, based on 2000. I can only get it to space items if I select another tool, exiting speedy entry. Oddly, it doesn't work at all if I move from speedy to mass edit. In Fin 2k, the spacing was done automatically whenever you moved from one measure to the next. Is this really a feature? Seems more like a bug. Anyway, I'm using 2003a.r1- and Mac OS 8.6. I got a response from macsupport, but only to the effect that I should select "automatic music spacing" and "automatic update layout." (When I emailed support originally, I'd stupidly neglected to mention that I'd already selected those options.)
I apologise if this is a known issue. I haven't read the list for several years (another indication of how smoothly Fin 2k was working for me!) and an hour or so of reading through some of the messages in the last year or so hasn't immediately brought anything relevant up.
Best,
David
Hmm, it works on mine............are you sure it's updating the screen? Maybe check the screen redraw options?
