I was repeating what I had read, but I can't find my sources now, so I should probably state in public that my comments come only from my memory and I can't back them up and probably shouldn't have aired them, excep that if it does screw up Winamp it would be good to be forewarned.

I would suggest doing an on-line search to find out if you can verify my comments. I just tried and could only find comments from people who removed Winamp and then installed iTunes, and preferred iTunes.

So maybe I was dreaming it all up.

Are you sure about that? And how does it manifest itself? I'm always wary
of Apple software on the PC (I have 4 machines and QT has screwed up on
each one), but Winamp is a staple here. I already have 3 different MP3
codecs, so I wouldn't need Itunes, but I was curious about the hype. But
anything that touches Winamp will never be installed.
