As I understand it, both VMWARE and Virtual PC run the other OSes as virtual machines, which adds its own layer of complexity and potential problems. If you really have a serious need to run multiple OSes, I recommend System Commander from www.v-com.com. This actually lets you install and boot up into any combination of Windows (and all other PC-compatible OSes). And you're actually *running* the OS, not a virtual machine.
