I have a somewhat similar problem to the one presented by Andrew Stiller
several weeks ago (which was seemingly solved by clearing Performance Data.)

However.

I import an existing SATB midi file into Finale. I make my
editorial/compositional/musical changes to it. I turn OFF Human Playback
(we're talking Finale 2K4 here). I make sure under Playback Options that all
"playback recorded ..." possibilities are UNCHECKED.

I give a voice, say Bass, a Pan Right instruction via Expressions.
Similarly, I Pan Left the SAT.

I play the file under Finale. It's exactly what I want and check to see if
the pan feature is performing as requested. It does.

I save the file as MIDI and also as WAV. However, under the MIDI and WAV
when played using a midi or wav player, I have lost the Pan functionality
that worked so nicely when under direct Finale control.

And I was very careful to Clear Performance Data first.

I have gotten this to work correctly in the past. But now can't seem to
replicate it.

Any thoughts?

Thanks to all who responded to this. Turns out I needed to clear
Entries/Performance Data, wh. did the trick. I never record
performance data, myself, so I tend to forget there might be some in
a file I get from someone else.
