Ricordi uses a big bracket thingie. I've seen a smaller one somewhere, but I can't recall where, and I can't find anything Novello on my shelf with a staff for tenor.
Schirmer didn't start using the clef with the little 8 until fairly recently, and all of the standard Schirmer opera scores still show tenors in a normal treble clef. That's OK if the parts are well-labeled, but in some of the scores they aren't. I know there's one line in Pagliacci for the tenors which looks like it's for sopranos.
