Does anyone know of a technique in Finale to convert a string of, say, eighth notes to dotted eighth, sixteenth; or perhaps a string of sixteenths to dotted sixteenth, thirty-second? Can Finale do it itself? Is there a plugin available?
Haven't found one yet, but you can ease the labour slightly by turning off 'Jump to next measure' and 'Check for extra notes' under the speedy entry menu. That will enable you to move through each measure faster when editing the notes.
