I got this message from a friend of mine. This is way beyond me -
maybe one of you can help?
------------- Forwarded message follows -------------
I need your help. . .
A student asked me to arrange a piece for her based on the MIDI
file. I've
managed to open it, and see all the tracks.
The problem is that when the file opens normally, it defaults to 4/4
time.
BUT the piece is in 3/4. The first measure in the file are simply
pulse,
"stick clicks" in the drum part.
Even if I suggest the 3/4 meter and delete the first measure, I have
one
extra beat rest which is causing me a problem. It puts the
downbeat on beat
2 throughout the piece.
How do I move everything one beat earlier?
Thanks,
Chris
