SORRY, IF THIS IS OLD NEWS: I haven't read these Digests in a while, and I am not sure if this was covered yet, but it looks like they fixed it.
Thus far only one person confirmed that my F2004 generated PDF worked OK on their end > Your file looked fine & printed out fine in Adobe Acrobat Professional 6, > Preview, & Adobe Reader 6. FYI, I've got Finale 2004a & Sibelius 3.1.1 > installed on this machine so that may or may not make a difference w/ fonts. Now, I'd like to know if I get the same good news from a Windows person, who doesn't even have Finale, i.e. a regular Joe:)... or Joanne:):):) PUBLIC... In response to this statement which came from finalemusic.com today > I believe an official announcement, covering this issue and the fact that > Finale 2004b is now in production, was posted on our website today: > http://finalemusic.com/finale/mac-commitment.asp > > Best wishes, > > Scott Yoho > MakeMusic! Coda Music Technologies I wrote: it would be nice if makemusic.com sent out News Letters on a regular basis, ala Apple Computer. This way, those of us who don't visit makemusic.com regularly can get the news ASAP. Even if one does visit makemusic.com it's EASY to overlook this good news. EXAMPLE: on the home page http://finalemusic.com/index.asp it says Finale 2004 for Macintosh OSX Now Available Well I knew that since mid January, so that's nothing new, thus why even bother clicking on that .GIF?! Nothing on the homepage mentioning 2004b or this PDF Font issue... nothing under News, except for Press Releases... So, just for the hell of it, I clicked on Finale 2004 for Macintosh OSX Now Available and guess what, it brought me to your link as of today http://finalemusic.com/finale/mac-commitment.asp So, even if I did visit http://finalemusic.com/ I would have still missed it, but a regular News Letter, one can see all the Headlines with their links ASAP, and that's how one gets "invited" to visit your home page http://finalemusic.com/index.asp Hopefully your web and marketing folks consider this humble suggestion of mine:) Again, thanks to me catching the mistake of sending you unintentional email, I got the good news, which I otherwise would have not been aware of for some time. If such News Letter is not going to be established soon, please consider posting this very PDF-Font news on http://macminute.com or http://maccentral, or http://macfixit.com etc. I still think, that if you guys are able to put out a News Letter at the end of Summer, announcing new Upgrade version of Finale, you can also send other happy news to us during the year in between the BIG announcements... This way the less-informed-ones on the streets will be less likely to spread disinformation about Finale, a product that we all care about, and want to see do well... just my 2c:) Thanks again !!! Hope to hear about 2004b soon via a Newsletter... • Arkady web site: http://www.arkady.com > From: makemusic.com > Date: Fri, 09 Apr 2004 09:05:55 -0500 > To: Arkady <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Subject: RE: F2004 PDF/Mac- Fixed?
