It is nice to hear someone else mention this. I too ran F04mac on OS9 and tried to print a 9 page score that normally prints in under a minute with F03. It took (no kidding!) 13 minutes to send to print spool and print the document. I did not time the page by page stuff but I can sat it was like almost a full minute for each page to process to the print spool.

EGAD! I am forced to use OS9 for printing since my laser does not print in OS X (no USB support or ethernet abilities..... HP 6mp). Anyone have any bright ideas to get it to print in OSX? I've tried gimp print to no avail.
I run a Stealth card in the modem slot for OS9 serial printing.

I haven't yet had a chance to use Fin04 for MacOS9, so I can't comment specifically about these speed issues. One thing I've noticed in general about Finale upgrades, however, is that they invariably install with Automatic Update Layout and Automatic Note Spacing turned on. Turning off these options makes a huge difference in response time.

The removal of Allow Redraw Interrupt is an amazing feature confiscation. I never noticed it during the beta cycles.

I should have mentioned for those who are doing their own testing that I did turn Auto Update Layout and Note Spacing off for both versions (2k3 and 2k4). Thanks for the reminder--I've been surprised by that one before!
