Dear list,
I meant to say:
The subject line says it all.
My system: Finale 2004b, Windows 2000 with s.p.4, ps-fonts installed, no
equivalent TTfonts installed.
I made sure that all fonts were embedded. The only characters that
print, are the half note notehead and some kind of slur sign. Everything
is replaced by those two characters. Isn't it strange? I really need the
possibility to generate pfd files from Finale.
Hope you can help!

Hi Barbara:
On 4/14/2004 11:11 AM (GMT -5) I posted my findings about the EPS
creation (and this could affect Acrobat format since I believe the
Acrobat is either derived from a temporary postscript file, or handled
by the same routines that generates the EPS) on Make Music's finale
forum. Basically the problem I encountered was one of mistranslation of
the font name from Finale's internal font alias (as number).
I found a simple text search and replace (of the internal font name to
its external name) made the EPS okay. Changing Acrobat format is a
whole different kettle of fish since Acrobat format has a marker at the
end of the file which is used to determine if the file has been altered
--- the upshot is editing Acrobat is not the same as editing postscript.
Here's where my posting was placed:
Finale Forums > Public Forums > Notation - Windows > Meastro Font & EPS
misidentification
Also, the Maestro font included with Finale is protected by copyright
(and/or license) and any distribution of it, altered or not, should be
cleared with its owner, Coda Music Technology, or assignee(s).
(I agree that the problem arises from the font itself and how it is
handled by Finale's internal naming functions.)
