OK, here I am in OSX.3.3, and I find I cannot get my HP LaserJet 5000N to print from the auxiliary tray (tray 3) even when I specifically order it to do so from the Print dialog. Any advice?
I think I got this from MacInTouch but am not 100% sure.

I ran the latest print utility/driver installer from HP, deleted the earlier printer reference and created a new one, to no avail. Then I went through System Preferences-->Print & Fax-->Printing-->Printing to set up the printer, giving it a new name to clearly distinguish it from earlier efforts. Not only do all my trays work properly for the first time since OS X Beta was released, but printing all files from all applications is much, much faster. I recommend using the functionality from the preferences pane; it seems to have made a significant difference for me.
I'm not sure if this is at all relevant to my system. I have never previously configured OSX to print, and I did so using the algorithm described in _Mac OSX: The Missing Manual/Panther Edition_, which seems to me the same as the one described above.
So what should I do now? And if nobody knows, do I call HP tech support or Apple tech support?
