Hi Christopher-- This, unlike the distance between staves, can be done.
1. Load your percussion maps into your default file. 2. Open up Instrument.txt in your favorite text editor (I would advise against using MS word) 3. Scroll through the long list of instruments until you find the perccussion instruments 4. Set the PercMap = line to the exact name of your percussion map in the default file (they must match exactly, or else it will not work). If your percussion map contains a number, put the name of the map in "quotes". If you simply place a number after PercMap=, finale will automatically generate a percussion map using that MIDI number. Of course, I can always just use a template that already HAS the drum staff set up the way I like it, and add staves using the Setup Wizard, but this removes some of the ease of the Wiz, like having the systems size automatically to fit the page.
