Hello again.
Thank you for the link David.
I know that there are many sound fonts out there, but would be grateful if someone could tell me of a soundfont that they use with Finale for the PC.
I used one some time back and it didn't work at all.
If anyone uses another sound font, please let me know. Many thanks.

I've tried several, each with some strengths and some weaknesses. Search for the GM soundfonts and try them. You might like what I don't like.
I've tried some which are huge (over 100MB) and some which are small.
I've used the 8MB CT8MGM.SF2 (the 8MB soundfont that installs with the Audigy soundcard), the 84MB All In ONE GM V1.1 Bank.sf2, and several others.
But my ears aren't your ears, so what I think is terrific you might think is little better than a tin-can in sound quality.
Right now I'm using the 20MB one that installs with Finale2004, since I upgraded to WinXPPro and reinstalled Finale. I find that adequate for my proof-listening needs, which is all I use it for. When I want a wave file of my music, I run midi output through my Kurzweil PC2r module.
