To follow up,

Bill Duncan got back to me and sent me the PDF character map of his chord fonts. After checking it out, I wrote back and asked for a few minor additions -- non-superscript numbers, and a larger, non-superscript circle and slashed circle. We had some back-and-forth about why that might be desirable, and in the end Bill agreed to incorporate my suggestions, and I bought some of his fonts. He also, at my request, signed up for PayPal and will be adding that as a payment option.

Chuck's right -- Bill is terrific to deal with. Between Bill's fonts and the customized JazzCord Jef made for me, I can now get decent chord symbols and enclosures in both JazzFont and Maestro charts -- something I've been wanting for a *long* time. So thanks to Chuck for the heads-up, and I apologize for my initial skepticism.
