I've recently installed Finale 2004 for Windows. When it installed, it didn't uninstall Finale 2001d. Is there any reason to leave 2001d there? If I decide to uninstall 2001d, is there anything I need to save for use with 2004 (for example, libraries that I created)?

Thanks.

You will probably want to keep your libraries (and of course, any old Finale documents!) in any case. The main reason for keeping previous versions of Finale is to be able to exchange files with owners of that version. Andrew Stiller keeps previous versions to open old files, as he finds that later versions of Finale sometimes distort some settings - not importing them perfectly, in other words. Personally, I have found that more recent versions of Finale are much better at importing files from older versions, but I occasionally have to adjust things anyway, like repeat boxes.
