Hi all,

Just want to mention that Bill Duncan has done some amazing work on this font. He has included a number of revisions at my request, including a font variant ("ChordSufSubtext") with a steeper angled slash character that not only makes it easier to distinguish chord inversions and alternate bass chord from compound chords (polychords), it also works with Finale's "subtext" method of slash chord entry.

Bill has really been terrific to work with, as he has solicited my input all through making these (very finicky) revisions to his already great chord fonts. I think the revised font is just outstanding -- it looks great, it's extremely easy to use, it now supports all standard chord styles, and should definitely be of interest to anyone who uses chord symbols with Finale (unless, of course, you use JazzFont exclusively).

In fact, it's *so* much better than Finale's amateurish default chord libraries -- and, to be honest, my own painstakingly created custom chord libraries -- that I think Coda should seriously consider bundling the font, and Bill's libraries, with Finale. Especially since it's specifically designed to work around the limitations of Finale's very user-unfriendly chord symbol designer.

You can see examples of the "new, improved" chord fonts here:
