Actually, you can go into the articulation definition and set the horizontal handle 
placement to -18 evpus. That should take care of it.

Thanks.  That's it.  And the playback is realistic too.  I see where you 
can set the amount of time Finale uses to strum the chord.

Now if we can just get Finale to align this properly.  When I apply the 
articulation, it puts it above or right on top of the note.  I have to 
drag it to its proper location.  And if the chord is the first thing in 
the measure, I have to manually push the notes to the right to make room 
for the articulation.  I selected "Avoid staff lines" but that didn't 
help.  Oh well, maybe 2005.  :)
