I'm creating a worksheet which will have a blank staff over which will be names of open violin strings. The student is supposed to write the notes or rests indicated (all are quarters) into the staff. I'm trying to do this by putting hidden notes on the staff with expressions centered above them, so the letters above will be center-spaced above the correct note positions.
However, expressions on hidden notes do not show up.
