Something is not right. If I were you, I would start again from the
beginning.
The updater should have placed the updated Finale app in the right
place,
and you should not have had to do any of this. Did you move anything
yourself?

Not to my knowledge, but anything is possible. We'll see if my
machinations of last evening provide a cure today. Trust me, I'll let
yawll know.
