I believe they are books, printed/bound books, or single sheets already printed. Check the prices and read the fine print and I think you'll see that they are printed.

the following line (near the bottom) seems self-explanatory:
Notation is displayed on-screen for exercises, Band Methods, and String Methods. Sheet music is sold separately for solos and collections. Buy sheet music.
The program shows on-screen for certain things but you need to buy sheet music separately (or already own it) for solos and collections.
