where are your troublesome fonts installed now? Are they only in your OS 9 System Folder/Fonts? Or did you copy them to the OS X side -- to Macintosh HD/Library/Fonts or ~/Library/Fonts? Are you using the same OS 9 System Folder for actually booting OS 9 *and* running Classic, or do you have two separate OS 9 System Folders?

- Darcy

First of all, I simply do not use classic. If I want system 9, I boot up in real system 9.

On the system 9 side, I use Suitcase to manage many (not all) of my fonts. The fonts that Suitcase manages are in a separate folder called "Fonts" that does *not* reside in the System folder.

OSX does not "see" these fonts because they are not in the System folder. In order to make them available in OSX, therefore, I copied all the Suitcase fonts into the OSX Main font folder (NB: *not* the Home fonts folder, not the System fonts folder, not the Network fonts folder). By "copied" I mean duplicated, dragged, and dropped. Was this wrong? Why?

The troublesome fonts are among these. Not all (or even most) of the copied fonts are "bad," and of course none of my other OSX fonts are bad because they were installed w. OSX itself or came w. an OSX app.
