My printer (Ricoh 2610) has always been a little temperamental. Now it
won't print at all and the error message is "open front cover, remove
misfeed internal path." This however is not the problem. There is no paper
in the "path."

I have a pretty good idea of what is happening based on what I'm hearing
right before the printer aborts. I'm hearing a kind of vibration that
suggests to me that lubrication of a moving part might solve the problem. I
think the machine is interpereting the drag on the moving parts as a jammed
page.

My question is this: does anyone have any suggestions as to how and where I
can apply lubrication? I have a syringe type oil applicator and could
probably apply the lubrication if I could figure out where it was needed.

Thanks for any help.
