Hi Robert,

I'm guessing that the font(s) you are using in your Finale document is a third party font. The font(s) may not be installed in all the places it needs to be in OS X to show up when you print to PDF. Check to see where your font(s) are installed. If they are missing for anywhere you can put them in the correct place. You can also use the application Font Book that comes with OS X to install fonts. Open Font book and click on the triangle next to all fonts. You'll see User and Computer. As you highlight these it will tell you what fonts are installed where. Click on the plus sign at the bottom of the list of fonts to add your font.

Paths to check:

HD>Library>Fonts
HD>yourusername>Library>Fonts

You may also be using fonts that you used in OS 9 in OS X. This will work sometimes but not in all apps. Try installing the windows version of the font(s). OS X can use windows fonts.

Hope this helps,

Karen

Is there an option to include all fonts in the OSX Print Dialog? I've got some PDF's I created from Finale files in OSX, and many of the characters appear as rectangles instead of characters. I'm thinking I need to include all fonts, but the option is not obvious to be found.
