It's just a 2-up, double-sided printout of the PDF files, with a comb bind and plastic covers front and back. I think it was worth the price, though, since I didn't have to do all of that printing and binding myself.
If you'd rather contribute to the livelihood of your favorite local starving student, I think it very like that you could loan the CD to some unemployed person with a computer and a printer and pay him or her 20 or 30 dollars to make the manual for you.
