Hi Chuck, I don't yet fully understand the newer features of the tuplet tool, as I recently upgraded from finmac 2002, but I entered a q-note triplet (treble clef in the staff , D D B) in the score I'm working on and experimented:
-- stem/beam side selected, allow horiz. drag checked - tuplet is on note side above and avoiding staff -- if I check avoid staff, the tuplet flips below the notes to the stem side, avoiding the staff, but with the hooks still pointed down (incorrectly) and editing, in short, is wierd, maybe undoable. -- When I check engraver tuplets (w/ or w/out avoid staff) the hooks are corrected and the tuplet looks great. Seems like it may not be exactly what you're experiencing but there was a definite problem when I got to my second step (above). I don't know if all our settings match or if that has any bearing on things. As far as support at Coda goes there was a time when I would have been glad to get inconsistency from them. That "We're CODA, and you're not" attitude won't help them compete with the S. company and I'm sure that's one reason why, IMO, the support is better than it used to be. Last month I spoke to someone who was very helpful and I thanked him for it. A little later that week another guy was OK but I felt like I had to ask the right questions. I've never worked providing support before, but I can't imagine it being an easy job.
