An easy way to see if you have the 2005a HP update is to look in the Components Folder for Finale 2005 - if the file date for HP.DLL is something in July 2004 it hasn't been updated. The 2005a updated should have a date of November 04, 2004.
Which concerned me a bit; I recently had to reinstall due to a hard drive failure, and when I checked the version of the updater I had, I found the dates don't match; there is a more recent WINFin 2k5a updater, bearing a time stamp of November 12 which instead of the size listed below, is
Just to clarify, it's the file date of the HP.DLL file in Fin2005's Component Files folder that should be November 04 - that's the only thing that really matters.
I believe November 12 was the date when the original 2005a updater was built. And I also think the problem with the first updater was corrected around November 15.
