Installed Mac OS Updater 10.3.7 today. Finale 2005a works fine. Decided to give Mic Notator a try.
I've have that little Mic that I bought from Coda, and I've used it OK with F2002-2004 Mac. Mic Notator was not perfect, but it worked, although I got the best results with Tenor Sax and Clarinet. Not too good with Alto Sax. I plug that little Mic into iMic USB (round adapter). Now with F2005a and 10.3.7, I've tried Alto Sax, and Mic Notator is PATHETIC!!! Of course I've checked Mic Level, Quantization, Transposition etc. With HyperScribe the pitches come out approximately, and the rhythms NOT EVEN close. I.e. with Metronome Sound through my earphones, coming from the my Powerbook, I can't get simple quarter notes, tongued or legato. Otherwese, Hyperscribe works fine, when I play Midi Keyboard. Ironically, when I tried it with Clarinet and Tenor, with F2004, using Jazz articulation (tonguing), it came out VERY accurately, but not with Alto and F2005a. Curios to know how well Mic Notator is working for you!
