I'm running Finale 2005 on a Windows XP machine. Many of the "tie ends" look ugly. I'm referring to the right-hand side of a tie that crosses a system boundary. Often, all you get for the tie end is a little squiggle that's only barely visible.
It's possible to fix this by moving the notes manually every time, but is there a better solution, such as a global setting or a plug-in? I've experimented with Robert Patterson's tie mover, but I haven't found the settings that fix this problem
Options> Document Options> Ties. System break start adjustment: try -20 EVPUs. System break end adjustment: try 20 EVPUs. These values might be too great, but by pressing Apply you can see the result immediately. You may need to experiment also with the other options in this window.
