As long as we're on the topic of same names, I'm curious about how ASCAP 
and BMI handle it.  I'm a member of GEMA, the German rights 
organization. When I was accepted for membership, I was told that I 
couldn't use the name "Daniel Wolf" as someone (obscure, deceased) in 
ASCAP had the name already, and that I would have to use my middle name, 
James, as well.   Do ASCAP and BMI also extend this curtesy to foreign 
rights organizations?  Since that time, I've encountered a lot of 
arrangements by yet another Daniel Wolf  which has been an non-ending 
source of confusion.
