Our office has several of the HP5000/5100 series printers. Their Achilles heel is definitely the duplex unit and the pickup roller. The manual feed pickup can be replaced by the user quite easily, but the duplex unit is another matter. In the UK it is often cheaper to buy a new one than have it serviced by HP! As to toner distribution we have had to have one new fuser unit which was replaced under warranty. My advice is if you need a printer with a large duty cycle and a photocopier, check out www.kyoceramita.com. We have had the 2500 series for a year now, with no problems at all. It photocopies, scans (up to A3/11x17) and is a fast mono laser printer. It also can scan and email direct from the copier, and even emails me when it is low on toner! Hope this helps Regards -- Dave Hage Dakota Music Service Ltd _______________________________________________ Finale mailing list [email protected] http://lists.shsu.edu/mailman/listinfo/finale
