I always anchor to the focused window, and iKey2 has not been confused
with floating windows on me, meaning it works whether particular floating
window is open or not.

That being said, Finale in this regard is way dated to me.  Many modern
apps are hotkey customizable.  Only if Finale is at least AppleScript-
able.....
